The Opportunity: The QC Coordinator will be primarily responsible for planning Quality Control/Quality Assurance priorities and standards for filling/packing area, actively works with and supports all departments in the areas of quality control and assurance.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Works with new products development team, packaging and process engineering and operation team to achieve proper launch of new programs.
Management of product filling/packaging specifications for new product launch and revision of current products.
Fill weight verification for new projects.
Participating in writing and maintaining Client Specifications following quality control guidelines.
Monitor filling/packing operations to ensure that they meet quality and customer established standards.
Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process.
Assist and complete in production occurring non-conformance, deviation investigations.
Perform regular spot quality checks on the production floor to ensure production meets client's standards for accuracy, etc.
Record and report on the outcomes of the quality issues to the Supervisor.
Assist in creating and maintaining an environment that promotes positive communication within the facility as well as fostering teamwork within the operation.
Creating, adapting and carrying out training programs in filling/packing area and transmitting the correct philosophy of product quality, and company image.
Complete paperwork and documentation accurately and effectively.
Preparation of Quality Checklists, Inspection and Test Plans.
Writes SOP/GMP as required.
Assist with the preparation of external quality audits as required.
Completion of special projects as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
2+ years of applicable experience in a Quality or Manufacturing Personal Care field
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written format with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Professional, courteous, approachable manner with a "can-do" attitude
Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Software
Ability to work in a fast paced environment to accomplish multiple goals
Excellent time management and problem solving skills/ must adhere to tight deadlines/respond quickly to situations/be able to effectively execute solutions
Self-disciplined and accountable with strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as a team
Ability to multi-task, prioritize work effectively and meet multiple deadlines.
Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
