Role Purpose:
The Line Service position supports production in ensuring that all lines have all materials required to successfully follow and fulfill the production schedule.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Verifies all materials pulled by the warehouse to ensure part numbers and quantities, this would include the lock code
- Signs route sheet at shift start which verifies that materials are correct for production
- Responsible for all materials being issued to the designated line
- Responsible to make correct number of shippers for the job with proper information being transferred
- Checks the route sheet for special instructions of documentation for shippers, such as special labels to be printed rather than stamping
- Responsible for servicing the lines with raw materials for production runs
- Provides skids and layer cards for lines
- Ensures that the line has a steady supply of caps, bottles, labels and shippers
- Ensures that tote batch matches shippers and bottles
- Removes all empty totes to wash out area or other area if specified
- Transfers full skid from production to warehouse with the transfer sheet and wrapped
- Makes sure the transfer sheet is signed off by warehouse upon receiving and the original copy is returned and stapled to the route sheet
- Responsible to return all raw materials to warehouse upon completion of job
- Responsible for emptying garbage bins throughout shift and at the end of shift
Qualifications and Experience:
- Secondary High School diploma
- 1-3 years of experience in a related field is an asset
- Experience with walkies and forklifts preferred
- Able to read, write, and follow instructions
- Able to adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to work in a team setting as well as individually
