The Opportunity:

The Commercial Director, APAC is responsible for shaping and executing the region’s commercial strategy to drive sustainable growth, expand market share, and enhance customer satisfaction across all markets. This senior leadership role oversees sales and customer service functions across the region and plays a critical role in accelerating growth in key markets.  The role reports into the APAC Managing Director and collaborates with the North American head office on global corporate accounts, ensuring alignment and operational excellence across regions.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
 

Regional Growth & Commercial Strategy

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy for APAC aligned with regional and global objectives.
  • Drive aggressive growth in the China market by strengthening local market penetration, broadening customer relationships, and adapting offerings to local needs.
  • Identify and secure new customer accounts, both large hotel chains and independent operators across the region.
  • Analyze market trends and competitive intelligence to inform strategic decisions and capital allocation.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and develop high-performing teams across Sales and Customer Service.
  • Oversee and coach sales leaders across APAC sub‑regions (Singapore, Australia, Japan, China, etc.).
  • Align team structure, capabilities, and resources to meet regional growth targets.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Revenue, Margin & Compliance Management

  • Drive year‑over‑year revenue growth and optimize margin performance through disciplined commercial practices.
  • Strengthen compliance with contracts, pricing guidelines, and commercial policies across all markets.
  • Implement consistent forecasting, pipeline management, and performance tracking processes.

Customer & Partner Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with key hotel groups, strategic partners, and prospective customers to drive long‑term growth.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained across the region.

Global Collaboration

  • Partner closely with the North American head office to align on strategy for global corporate accounts.
  • Leverage global programs, tools, and best practices to support APAC commercial success.
  • Serve as the commercial voice of the region in global discussions.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • 10+ years of senior commercial leadership experience, ideally in hospitality, travel, or related sectors.
  • Proven track record of growing revenue and market share across diverse Asia‑Pacific markets.
  • Strong experience driving growth in China strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success managing multi‑country teams and leading sales and customer service functions.
  • Skilled in strategic planning, financial management, pricing, and customer relationship management.
  • Proven experience with CRM tools is required, with a preference for experience within HubSpot.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, global organization.
